Fatahillah Museum is also known as the Jakarta History Museum or the Museum of Batavia is a museum located at Jalan Taman Fatahillah No. 2, West Jakarta with area of more than 1300 square meters.
This building was once the Stadhuis or City Hall, which was built in 1707-1710 by order of Governor-General Johan Van Hoorn. Town Hall building was similar to the Dam Palace in Amsterdam, consisting of the main building with two wings in the east and west and sanding buildings used as an office, court room, and room basement that is used as a prison.

History

Building History
